Members of the DIGI-GROW project team, Jesús Huete Cubillo (Bettergy) and Álvaro Fernández Solas (DLR Institute of Solar Research), participated in the 1st International Symposium on Agrovoltaic Production, held at the E.T.S. de Ingeniería Agronómica, Alimentaria y de Biosistemas (ETSIAAB) in Madrid, Spain.
The event was the first of its kind entirely dedicated to agrivoltaics, bringing together experts from research institutions, industry, and public organizations across Spain and Portugal to discuss the latest developments in this emerging field.
During the symposium, the DIGI-GROW team presented the initial results of the project and took part in fruitful discussions on the challenges and opportunities of integrating renewable energy generation with agricultural production.
The symposium provided a valuable platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration, fostering dialogue on how agrivoltaic systems can contribute to sustainable agriculture and the protection of crop productivity under changing climate conditions.
