As part of the dissemination activities of the DIGI-GROW project, project fellow from Ege University: İpek Gülçin Uysal presented the study entitled “Environmental Performance and Design Considerations of Agrivoltaic Systems: A Life Cycle Perspective for Photovoltaic–Agricultural Co-Production” at PVCON 2026 – International Conference on Photovoltaic Science and Technologies, organized by ODTÜ GÜNAM in Ankara, Türkiye, from 29 June to 1 July 2026.
The study evaluates agrivoltaic systems from a Life Cycle Assessment perspective, examining how design parameters—including mounting structures, system configurations, and methodological choices—influence environmental performance. It also identifies current methodological challenges and provides recommendations for more consistent, transparent, and comprehensive sustainability assessments of agrivoltaic systems.
Participation in PVCON 2026 provided an excellent opportunity to disseminate the latest findings of the DIGI-GROW project, exchange knowledge with researchers and industry professionals, and contribute to discussions on the role of agrivoltaics in supporting sustainable agriculture and the clean energy transition.
